long time no see !
woke up just in time this morning to get my garbage bin out to be collected --

ran out in my robe & looked a lil insane but !!
started my day with a success ~

are you sick of the ad-bloated...
ai-ridden hellscape of social media?
yeah...this shit sucks

the decay of social media spaces and their crappy apps just pushes me back to playing on here. my lil piece of solace in lines of colorful code and fun lil pixels.

outside of tattooing, the schooling i took on is getting fun! i'm learning a lot & love when i see my new skills overlap with what i love about tattooing. it's making me feel connected and useful...
and helping me focus amidst everything in the world bombarding all of us all of the time...

feeling lucky & giddy while i'm trying my best !!!

we shared mutual friends through homestuck cosplay. the first time i drove down to meet her, i didn't know much about her. relying on tumblr "about me" pages.

it used to scare the shit out of me to meet new people face to face,
adding up all these new traits and features of a person. they used to just be a quiet collection of pixels behind a screen.

being online is carved deeper into every hour of every day now. people share only as much as they want to be seen--whether that's what they create or what they show of their personal life.
there's a lot of control there...
face to face, you lose some of that.

social media is like cruising past selective tips of living and breathing icebergs. lots of icebergs. a fleet of them! a neverending feed of them.
this iceberg is drinking their 2nd cup of coffee.
and eating fresh baked bread.
and slept on their neck weird and it rly hurts today.
lots to take in.

it's self indulgent and reminiscent of younger years online.

i'm navigating the world making a lot of cool connections, in all the little ways i know how.
the world keeps doing unhinged shit. the weight is constant.
i hope i can clown around from the bottom of my heart for a long time. whether online or in person or all by myself somewhere in the dirt.

i've got probably close to...forty-five different streams of conciousness right now.

there goes half a year

doesn't that feel fucking crazy. where am i?
life is a sprint lately.
but tired muscles get stronger
with a good rest & bit of reflection.

there are big milestones and challenges we've taken on this year so far!
...connections with so many cool new people, comfort in the studio, good energy from neighbors...
a small world feeling of overlapping and sharing...

I WANT TO SAVOR THE MOMENTS THAT FEEL GOOD

being connected charges me up to do the next cool thing...
and the other cool thing after that!

there's a lot of things fighting for attention.
the way this country is moving is disgusting.
my dad calls me and we try to cope with a joke about the world falling apart but even he seems a lil burnt out about it.
he's my frame of reference for endurance through all of this.

what does that mean?

it's a lot!

haven't done any schooling in a while, a lil nervous to share space in my schedule with something big like that. on top of this, on top of that, on top of maybe the other thing i'm probably forgetting?<
but i'm also really excited!
there's more i can explore & more i can do...

& that lingering fear & feeling of doom in every new day
& that tug of ~~it's never enough, you can't ever do enough...~~
